What is OAuth?

OAuth is an authentication protocol that allows users to approve application to act on their behalf without sharing their password. More information can be found at http://oauth.net or in the excellent Beginner's Guide to OAuth from Hueniverse.

Where do I create an application?

Register your application in the Planzone development center to obtain an application key and a secret key. Registration is free but you must have have a Planzone account.

Is there any support library for using OAuth?

Yes. Many libraries exists to help you in using OAuth. Most of these libraries are Open source and they are distributed under the MIT open source license. They exists for various languages such as Java, Javascript, Objective-C, C#, Perl, Python, PHP. http://oauth.net/code

What version of OAuth is supported?

Planzone implements the OAuth Core 1.0 specificiation. The OAuth Core 1.0 Revision A will be implemented shortly.
